Religious Education

At John Randall School children learn from religion as well as about it. We follow the Telford and Wrekin SACRE (Standing Advisory Council for Religious Education) Religious Education Scheme of Work which means that many of the World’s main religions are studied. Teaching resources are used where appropriate to aid children’s learning. Major festivals such as Diwali, Easter and Eid are celebrated as children learn and, where possible, food is incorporated into the curriculum. A photo of when children were learning about fasting is shown below. There’s also a photo of our own peace tree as children reflected on what makes the world a better place and quotes from children as they share their thoughts.
